Community
The Pacific Northwest has a vibe all it's own. Within that vibe, each city has it's own unique blend of sophistication and beauty. Portland and Vancouver are so close together, yet have a completely different feel. Portland boasts live theater, plenty of fun pubs, eateries, walk-blocks and parks galore. Vancouver has been called a bedroom community to Portland. Much more of a small town feel mixed with contemporary areas of newer construction and huge stores. Both are quite easy to get around in with almost anything you want being within 15 minutes.
As you may know, Oregon has no sales tax and Washington has no state income tax.
It is beautiful here. The people are gentle and friendly. The culture values are gardening, art, children and animals. There are waterfall, rivers, tons of walking paths, parks, outdoor concerts, community activities, wonderful schools, and an overall kindness that seems rather unique.
